Description
A majority of car owners, especially newer ones, tend to have little to no knowledge about all the components of their car, especially what to do when a maintenance issue arises out of the blue. With Odigo, you will have your very own AI mechanic assistant that can diagnose any issues in your car and builds up your confidence to either fix that issue or take it to the mechanic with the knowledge you need.
Overview
This was an interactive product design project and we are working in groups of 4-5 to create an assistant that helps you with an issue that affects people everyday and the assistant must incorporate AI. With traveling and commuting more prevalent than ever, we found that mechanical issues within cars was a problem among all ages and groups of people.
Conducting primary and secondary research, we concluded that people, especially between the ages 22-49 have have little to no knowledge about their car, which causes them to spend too much time and money trying to resolve any mechanical issues that arise. At the end of 10 weeks, we created a an ecosystem of products and brought them to life.
Project Manager & Packaging Design
Throughout the 10 weeks, I was a project manager which consisted of working on scheduling meetings, keeping our deadlines on track, and making sure everyone played to their strengths in order to get the best quality of work in a timely manner. I also was the packaging design lead on this project where I created the packaging design, packaging layout, and logo design as well as choosing the different materials to use within the package.
Solution
After the conclusion of 10 weeks, we created an AI assistant that fits right in your toolbox and you can prop up on the hood of your car or hang it from the latch of the hood to assist you when you are fixing your car. An application is also paired with the physical product in order to keep track of the issues occurring in your car, easily order any parts you may need to fix your car, and even have personalized content all for your specific make and model car.
