Overview

Overview

This is a senior capstone project and we are working in groups of 4-5 to find a worldwide issue and come up with a feasible solution while finding a way to incorporate AI. A most common issue we found was within the world of accessibility and how it tends to be an underserved group.

We dove into secondary and primary research to find our problem: a communication barrier between the Deaf community and hearing population. As the first 10 weeks ended, we created a foundation that we will begin to ideate and test in the last 10 weeks of this project which will conclude in March 2025.

Branding & Marketing

Throughout the 20 weeks, I worked on the branding consisting of developing a logo, the name, a slogan and tag line, primary and secondary colors to use within our brand, which created our brand identity. Dari was created to evoke a sense of trust, welcoming, and sleekness in order to shine a more positive light on the world of accessibility. I also contributed to setting up and laying out our Demo Day to ensure a proper experience for users.

Solution

After 17 weeks, we developed the foundation of our solution which consisted of a technological ecosystem consisting of holographic lenses with live translation and a gesture recognition armband that all connects to your phone to give the Deaf community the flexibility of communication in their daily lives.
