Description
There are a lot of social issues occurring all across the world, and sometimes bringing awareness to the issue can be difficult due to the lack of interest or concern and even due to the lack of hope. One social issue is the lack of attention to the environment, so this social awareness poster addresses the outcome of the continuing of deforestation across the world.
Process
As I started this project, I chose the topic of deforestation and chose to research more about the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) in order for them to sponsor the social awareness poster due to their current involvement with the ecosystem as well as their recognizability and trustworthiness as a brand. I then conducted research on the issues of deforestation and some statistics to possibly incorporate within my poster to grab attention.
After developing an understanding of my topic and my sponsor, I developed rough sketches to later develop digitally into my ideal social awareness poster. I also brainstormed different headlines and taglines that feel cohesive with one another as well as looking at creating typographic studies for each of these categories.
In the end, I learned how to grab the viewer's attention through different visuals, specific wordings, and the power of creating a simple design.
